They have charged bill for the complementary water bottles !

They have charged bill for the complementary water bottles !! Their service and rooms are not up to the mark and the picture they showed in the website full opposite from the original rooms. Rooms are old model and not clean at all. Hotel rooms, breakfast and reception staffs services are very disappointing.

An old classics of Pattaya

Basaya is one of the Pattaya's classics: constructed around a huge garden with a large swimming pool, it is a peaceful haven in the area which is yet busy (numerous restaurants, cafes, bars...). The "New Standard" rooms were recently renovated and feature a fridge, large flat screen TV with international programs, large working desk, A.C. working properly all the time. Wifi was planned to be accessible from individual rooms.

-- Contrary to what booking.com claims (and contrary to the previous practice of Basaya in 2017, 18, 19), the hotel does NOT accept American Express cards. -- Although the wifi signal is detectable inside the room, the laptop connection to Internet is unstable and works only sporadically; and, if so, then with rather a narrow bandwidth. The problem seems to be known to the management but categorized as "unsolved mysteries". If you get desperate you can use the Internet cafe Ja Jaa Net, the same street as Basaya, approx. 600 m to the East (i.e. away from the sea). -- Conclusion: In spite of the weak points just mentioned I will come, in future, to Basaya again.

Very good stay for the money

Cheap room, a little bit worn out, but very clean and in a very good location. Directly at beachroad. Breakfast isn't worth it, there are better local options around. Every major building is in 20 min walking distance.

Maybe not next time?

Pool is good and very deep with well positioned sun chairs. Location is perfect and renovated rooms ok.

Some of the rooms renovated and some not. It is big difference whic one you stay. Old ones smell, wallpapers torn from the wall (suite room), old crt tv:s which maybe not work... So make sure you get renovated room. If not, go other hotel. Staff is mostly nice, but you cannot take any food in room or staff from restaurant start complain. So eat your hamburgers or other snacks out of the hotel. Thats crazy because hotel restaurant is not always open and maybe you want eat something else in room. Dont sign that paper check in time where they tell they fine you thousands if you take food in the room.

Location is very nice . Pool is very nice , view is also very good . Rooms & other internal facilities are very poor. No in room service available . Wi-fi is very poor. Overall not so good experience.

This is the second time we have stayed at this hotel and...

This is the second time we have stayed at this hotel and love it. Great location and breakfast has something for everyone's taste. There is some construction going on but it is still worth staying here. The staff is friendly and always greet you with a smile, especially Ms. Sunan, she is simply the BEST!

The location is okay.

The location is okay. The swimming pool is great ..the building from the outside look like an old apartment.

Beside swimming pool the room and facilities are pretty old. In room chair should he replace and it looks like the chair seat cover never wash. The door look insecure and it looks like it is going to break soon.. The toilet is clogging cant be flush have to wait for mins just to flush again. Too annoying....

Great place to stay for location and price, nice hotel grounds pool gardens etc, just a bit basic in the rooms and a bit

Very good location nxt to the beach and close to popular areas for eating and drinking, friendly staff and nice big pool area, nice gardens to relax in, good price for location, my room was pretty basic and newly renovated

Hard bed but still ok for me, pretty loud in the night from air conditioning unit and loud fridge, also early morning you can hear the wildlife, so light sleepers would not sleep well

Very Good

Nice and quiet. Great pool for me, but to deep for none swimmers. Staff friendly. And it's a great place to stay if you want to bring you dog ... they have a separate pool for the dog and dog walking . Very relaxing place and close to amenities bars restaurants and massage... I would definitely stay here again

Had quite a few mosquitoes in my room. So did my neighbour. I will recommend they spray the rooms before the hotel let customers stay. Maybe the flora and greenery outside need spraying to. Other than a few mosquitoes I've no complaints

Everything...from staffs to location..from ambience to cleanliness..from food to service..dis was my third stay in basaya resort and I would like to stay again when I go to pattaya in future

Staff are excellent and make you feel very welcome. Food is also very good and the location of the hotel is perfect for both families and singles.

Certain areas are in need of modernization and some areas just require a good coat of paint.

As for facilities, aging of the building is seen. Although it was three stories, there is not elevator, and it gets tired. The air conditioner was not in a state where the interior was comfortable. Wifi can not connect either.
